This is a one of a kind handmade piece.
In this image, I looked to blur the lines between the human realm and the magical kingdom of the imagination.
There is a highly surreal quality to the haughty woman who sits proudly in the forefront on the image. She is part woman, part goddess, and part fairy-tale figure as she welcomes a visit from her avian subject, complete with his own royal crown and a gift of pearls for his mistress, complete with a crown of her own. Both of them, in their own different ways, are representative of absolute beauty.
The ‘unreal world’ is also populated by a magical unicorn, any by a background landscape that looks completely out of kilter with the world that we know today.
